Bluewave is a digital recruitment marketing agency specializing in developing strategies for digital recruitment. The team consists of 15 passionate professionals. Fanbased has developed a program to coach the leadership team in their growth as individual leaders and as a cohesive leadership team.
Bluewave's leadership team consists of two owners and three senior employees who are at the beginning of their leadership careers. These senior team members have some leadership experience but are new to a management team (MT) setting.
The founders of Bluewave, together with the senior employees, formed a new management team, which brought about a significant change. For the founders, the challenge lay in stepping back to allow for team development, while also fostering a culture of a winning mindset throughout the organization. They were seeking a suitable program to help achieve these goals.
For the senior employees, the challenge was to step up, take on responsibilities, show initiative, and demonstrate true leadership. As a group, they aimed to grow closer by understanding each other's strengths and weaknesses, building a strong, cohesive team.
The program consisted of four individual coaching sessions and three group days at an offsite location. During the individual sessions, team members gained greater self-awareness and developed practical tools that could be immediately applied in their leadership roles at Bluewave. “The group sessions were especially valuable because they allowed us to work closely together and build a stronger foundation of trust. Spending an entire day together in an external setting, without discussing work, proved to be incredibly beneficial for our team dynamics.”
A final organizational session was held at Bluewave’s office, where the rest of the organization was introduced to the program and its outcomes.
Participants reported that they now have a better understanding of their behaviors and reactions, which has enhanced their effectiveness as leaders. The strengthened trust within the group contributes to improved collaboration every day.
